1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Tunitag Drive (“the App”) processes information when you use the mobile application.
Data controller: the entity operating Tunitag, identified on the Tunitag website. Privacy questions: use the contact options published there.
2. Summary
-
When you sign in, we process your name and email so the App can recognise your account.
-
Your detailed maintenance logs and Digital Glovebox document images stay on your device—we do not upload glovebox photos to Tunitag website servers.
-
We use on-device rules for Intelligence Hub / Smart Advisor scores, not cloud profiling of your documents.
-
You can sign out or uninstall the App to remove local data only. The Delete account button in Settings permanently removes your name and email from Tunitag website servers and all data on your device, then signs you out.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account (when you sign in)
-
Your name and email address.
-
A secure session on your device so you stay logged in.
3.2 Content you create on your device

3.3 Device permissions
-
Location: only when you use parking save or similar features (approximate or precise GPS per OS prompt).
-
Camera / photo library: when you pick images for glovebox, hero photo, or receipts.
-
Notifications: for local reminders you schedule.
-
Biometrics: used only by the OS to unlock glovebox previews or confirm deletion; Tunitag does not receive biometric templates.
4. Information we do not collect
-
Digital Glovebox document images (vignette, insurance, carte grise, licence, fines scans).
-
Raw biometric data (Face ID / fingerprint templates).
-
Continuous background location tracking.
-
Contacts, SMS, or call logs.
5. Why we process data (purposes)
-
Provide and secure your account session.
-
Display your logs, reminders, maps links, and scores.
-
Run on-device health and advisor calculations.
-
Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (where GDPR applies): performance of contract (account) and consent where required (e.g. location, notifications—you can revoke in OS settings).
6. Storage locations & retention
-
On-device: logs, glovebox files, and photos remain until you delete them, delete the vehicle, use the Delete account button in Settings, or uninstall the App.
-
Tunitag website servers: your name and email are stored while your account is active and are permanently deleted when you use the Delete account button in Settings (or when we complete a deletion request received through the Tunitag website), unless law requires us to retain certain records longer.
-
Local notifications: scheduled on device until fired or cancelled.
7. Where your data is stored
Your name and email are stored on Tunitag website servers—the same systems used for sign-in to the app and your account on the Tunitag website. Maintenance logs and Digital Glovebox images remain on your device unless you delete them or uninstall the App. We do not sell your personal data.
When you open maps or government payment pages in your browser, those services apply their own policies. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
8. International transfers
If data is processed outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required (standard contractual clauses or equivalent).
9. Security
We use HTTPS for API calls and industry-standard practices on servers. Protect your Tunitag password and enable device lock/biometrics. No method is 100% secure.
10. Your rights
Depending on your region you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal data we control. Using the Delete account button in Settings removes your name and email from Tunitag website servers and deletes data stored in the App on your device. You may also contact us through the Tunitag website.
EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. Children
The App is not directed at children under the age where they can consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
12. Third-party brands & government links
Brand logos and manufacturer names are displayed for identification only (see Terms). Government payment links open external sites we do not control.
13. Automated decision-making
Health scores and advisor messages are simple automated calculations based on thresholds you can review in your logs. They do not produce legal or similarly significant effects without your own judgment.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where required, in-app notice.
15. Contact
Privacy requests: use the contact options on the Tunitag website, stating “Tunitag Drive” and your account email.
